Chula Vista means "beautiful view" and just one visit to our fine city and you will know why. Chula Vista is located 7 miles south of downtown San Diego and 7 miles north of the international border with Mexico. Visitors find our close proximity to a large city and foreign country very convenient for travel.

Chula Vista is home to some very unique attractions. We have the largest and only year-round Olympic Training Center, home to many fine athletes and major competitions. The center is open daily and offers free tours.

Our newest addition is the Knott's Soak City water park, housing 22 speed, body, and tube slides and attractions. The water park is open May through September.

Many major artists from various entertainment industries perform at our 20,000-seat Cricket Wireless Amphitheater. We have welcomed Jimmy Buffett, Elton John, Dave Matthews Band, Alan Jackson, and Christina Aguilera, just to name a few!

Our Nature Center has obtained international recognition for some of its breeding programs, endangered species rescues, and educational programs. The Nature Center hosts our annual Bird Festival every winter.

Chula Vista offers reasonably priced accommodations and a wide variety of restaurants. We are located along the San Diego Trolley mass transit system, which allows visitors easy access to San Diego and Tijuana. We have wonderful shopping areas, golf courses, and water-related activities.
